Making the management team effective
The simulation addresses and develops the functioning of the management team through ten practical topics that research shows make a management team successful.
Power to the management team
What is the need? For a management team or similar team that wants to build better team spirit, needs a new impetus in their own work and wants to move forward in their collaboration. This simulation will help your management team to work together to a higher standard, deal with critical decisions and build a more cohesive, effective team.
Why does it work? Research shows that an effective management team needs, among other things, the ability to argue constructively, psychological safety, recognition of mistakes and a commitment to common goals. Simulation helps to build these skills through concrete situations by developing the strengths of the team while working on areas for improvement.
What about in practice? In the simulation's backstory, the management team is giving an old restaurant a new lease of life. As the project progresses, they face challenges such as tolerating mistakes, communicating to staff and addressing grievances. The exercise consists of ten exercises, each of which addresses one element of a successful management team.
CLAIM 2: TRANSPARENCY
To whom do you feel comfortable disclosing personal information about yourself?
CLAIM 3: DISSENTING OPINIONS
Who in your group also listens to dissenting opinions without shouting them down?
CLAIM 4: ADDRESSING GRIEVANCES
Who among you is most natural to address and speak up about grievances?
CLAIM 5: ALLOWING FOR FAILURE
Who in your group is easy to talk to, even about failures and difficult things?
