SmoothTeam - useful and fun things to do on a team day, face-to-face or remotely!

2020-09-11

Holding team days remotely is more demanding than usual. The SmoothTeam simulation provides a proven, useful and fun experience for team members.

What is the objective of a team day?

Working across screens makes teamwork even more demanding. But getting to know your colleagues is a prerequisite for a well-functioning team. trust grows as we get to know each other. trust helps us to more easily make positive interpretations of what others say and do.

In general, the objectives of a team day are:

  • Relaxing together, chatting and sharing ideas
  • A good shared experience
  • Getting to know each other, building trust

This is exactly what SmoothTeam develops: it is relaxed and fun to participate in - the simulation is remembered as a shared experience and participants report improved mutual trust.

The SmoothTeam simulation takes the team into discussions on the chosen topic. The simulation makes visible how I perceive different things and also how others perceive me. Participants often report that the simulation helped them to get to know their colleagues in a new way. Although the discussions are in-depth, there is often laughter while playing SmoothTeam and participants enjoy themselves. Rigorous, but approachable.

What kind of discussions does the simulation lead to?

The exact content of the discussions will depend on the simulation you choose. It could be, for example, the strengths of team members, stress and workload, agility or the challenges of working remotely. When feelings are shared, new solutions can be found. What does it cost?

The simulation is run by the game master. You can choose one from within the team or use an external certified game master. You can also subscribe to SmoothTeam for unlimited use by your organisation for a monthly fee. The prices of the different solutions can be found in our price list.

Is this good for us? What have others said about the simulation?

The simulation is particularly suitable for teams of 4-15 people working together. Our customers have given very positive feedback. Veli-Pekka Eloranta from Vincit recommends SmoothTeam to anyone who works in a team. Jarmo Suoranta, CEO of the international TX company, says SmoothTeam also works for globally distributed teams. Tero Rinne, CEO of Iogen, was amazed at the openness of the discussion generated by SmoothTeam.

Sounds great, what do I do?

Book a two-hour meeting for the team, either remotely or face-to-face. Decide whether you want someone from the team to act as a game leader or whether you want an external facilitator to deepen the discussion. Order the simulation in advance from our online shop. If you are the game leader, please allow 20 minutes to read the guidelines before the simulation.

If you have any questions, ask us! You can find our contact details here.
