In 2015, I co-founded Koodia Suomesta ry. The aim of the association is to promote Finnish software expertise and its awareness. The Code from Finland logo helps to identify companies that develop software in Finland. It is a kind of key flag for software companies.
I am no longer on the board of the association, but I am very happy that in six years nearly 250 companies have joined. So Finnish software companies are clearly proud of their expertise.
So it's great that SmoothTeam has also just been approved as a Code from Finland company! Good code is an essential part of a smooth simulation experience, and Finland makes top-notch code. By keeping coding close, we are also able to respond quickly to customer requests.
Finland lives from exports
As the role of ICT continues to grow, the future of Finland and Europe as a whole also depends largely on software skills. So it is important for us to be an exporter and to contribute to the Finnish economy. SmoothTeam simulations have already been played on four continents, and the service is currently sold not only in Finland but also in California, Korea and Sweden. At the same time, we are pleased to see that Finnish expertise and understanding of teamwork is highly valued around the world.
I encourage everyone working with code to join the association! It's a small investment, a big impact, and together we are stronger. In coding, pulling home is in all of our interests.
