Psychological safety is key for the team
Research shows that psychological safety is the most critical factor in the success of teams. It is dependent on team members working together trust. Telework is currently challenging the way team members work and bringing out new sides of people. This changing context makes it even more important to develop openness and trust within the team and to pay attention to well-being. When a team that used to work together has moved to remote working, it is a good time to stop and discuss team working, division of labour and interaction.
Simulation helps to understand diversity
The new simulation takes the team into a fictional situation away from the work context. During the simulation, participants learn how teammates experience different situations. The simulation also helps to understand how team members see each other and whether this view differs from the person's own.
The simulation, and the WorkPlace Big Five Profile, the underlying person and team profiling tool, make visible the versatility of each. The simulation also helps team members to better understand each other, improve day-to-day teamwork and use the diversity of team members as a strength. The simulation does not compartmentalise or stigmatise the personalities of the participants, but helps them to understand their differences.

The simulation encourages the team to discuss their roles and encourages people to see differences as strengths. The simulation is therefore an excellent platform for team development and an excellent way to strengthen psychological safety in the team.
The "Conflict Situations and Emotional Temperament" simulation is available through certified WorkPlace Big Five Profile™ coaches. The simulation can be used either in conjunction with the personality profiles or independently without the profiles.
