Interaction at Work
The simulation improves team communication, builds trust and community, and highlights important interaction and well-being issues that are often not addressed in the workplace.
Interaction at Work
What is the need? The simulation is suitable for a team that wants to develop interaction and a sense of community. The simulation builds team spirit, trust and highlights the experiences of team members in their interactions.
Why does it work? The issues addressed in the simulation are rooted in the challenges and working practices faced by modern professionals, such as peer support and work-life balance. These are issues that have a major impact on both the quality of collaboration and well-being at work. However, they are often rarely discussed in the workplace.
What about in practice? In the simulation's backstory, a team sets up an internal start-up and solves the issues involved. During the story, both practical and more fundamental issues are addressed, such as how to build trust and common interaction, develop work practices or tackle difficult issues.

CLAIM 2: DEVELOPING WORKING PRACTICES
Who in the team is creating better practices at work?
CLAIM 3: DELIMITATION OF WORK
Who will set limits on joint work, if necessary, to ensure a good work-life balance?
CLAIM 4: WORKING TOGETHER
Who facilitates working together (e.g. organises ad hoc groups)?
STATEMENT 5: SUPPORT FROM COLLEAGUES
Who helps colleagues in their work?
Research background
The issues raised in the simulation are based on studies (e.g. Occupational Health Institute and international peer-reviewed articles).
Objectives
- Understand the different styles, approaches and needs at work
- Discuss work practices, which may involve multi-location, teleworking or telecommuting
- Find the underlying assumptions of the interaction
- Discuss and develop issues of trust and community as a team
For whom
- For teams of 4-16 people.
- For teams that already know each other reasonably well and want to stop together to assess their interactions and the styles of the different team members
- The simulation lasts about 2 hours.
